About the Song
Alone tonight was the second single released from the Tim Keyes debut
album Worlds Apart. Alone tonight features Matt Pisani on guitar, Jim
Leahey and Mike Dicenso on backing vocals. The song was chosen as a follow
up to the single uptempo anthemic rocker World of Make Believe because
of Alone Tonight's contrasting plaintive mood.
About the Video
Alone tonight was the third music video produced by API
Records. It included a production crew of some family and friends and
captures the feeling of loneliness by envoking the vastness and emptiness
of the sea. The songs plaintive quality is enhanced by the dissolve style
editing and the raw earthy quality of the super 8mm film. Veteren film
director Jim Riffel was flown to Florida's West coast to shoot the video
and he stayed a few extra days to enjoy the sun. The shoot captured the
attention of many of the reclusive locals on the private island.
