About the Song
On the Radio is the opening track on the Radio album. It is a fictional
story of a musician that only returns to an old flame when she listens
to the radio. It features a fantastic voiceover from the DJ Charlie Maxx.
The recording featured in the video is actually the original demo recorded
in Dan Caruso's 16 track demo studio a couple of years before the album
was released.
About the Video
The video was shot completely by accident by fimmaker
Jim Riffel who happened by the studio one night while the sessions were
going on. He had his documentary camera with him and rolled tape as one
of the vocal takes began. He ran through the take and didn't even realize
what he had. He showed it to API a few months later and the video ended
up on a reel of documentary footage. It has since been exerpted and is
now available to the public to view. It is a very unique glimse into the
recording process in Keyes' career.
